Question

How do you read blogs? Do you have all of your favorites bookmarked and visit their sites each time you want to read? Do you use service that tracks new posts for you like Bloglines or Google Reader? Do you do both...read at Bloglines and then click over to the actual post? I'm just curious as to what ya'll do!

I've only recently started adding more sites to my Bloglines but I realize that I really miss seeing the actual pages of my favorite bloggers. I love looking at everyone's designs and seeing what things you have changed on your pages!

  1. There are some blogs that I only read via my google reader. I don't know why, but I do. I open and read all the other ones. I like being able to comment, and see what else is going on in the bloggy world.

  2. I usually add them to my page and that way I can make my way down through them. My only problem is I want to read them all and I am having trouble doing this.

  3. I've just started using Google Reader. It's nice, but I miss the individuality of each woman's place, so I usually pop open my favorites in a new window. I wish I could leave comments easier via Reader.

  4. Hi Heather!

My Mom and Aunt were here for a week, but left yesterday morning, so I'm working hard to visit all of my blogging friends. It seems like forever since I've been able to visit.

I use Bloglines and it really helps since I have over 90 blogs I try to keep up with. Impossible, but I try. I click on the blog title so I can go to the actual blog. I'm like you...I want to see the colors, design, photos, etc.

BTW...I'm celebrating my blog's 3rd birthday! Amazing! Thanks for being such a sweet blogging friend!

    Hugs!

  5. I keep mine organized in Google Reader and added a button to my FireFox toolbar that I can click - it brings me to the next blog on my list. That way I can keep them organized in Google, but still visit the actual blogs without too many clicks.
